Digi-Q question

Gonna do 2 butts for Monday. Gonna start them Sunday night and use the digi-q. Since the egg temp drops drastically after the protein is added, would it be a good idea to start the digi-q once the egg temp rises? Just concerned about the blower going crazy to get back up to temp.

Don't wait. Set it and forget it my friend. Let it mind your egg and do the heavy lifting. That's why you bought it, right?Flint, Michigan

Toss on the meats and let the computer do its thing.

I always get digi Q set to about 15 degrees, LOWER than target temp because with opening bge, oxygen gets in there and adds to the fire...then gradually bring up temp to target temperature in 5 degree increments....
