All the Ace stores in my immediate area have a big supply of Eggs and accessories, even rubs. I like it.

My local Ace has had a nice selection of BGE stuff for several years, along with Weber and just recently a red kamado showed up on their floor.

My local Ace has sold Eggs for years and years. Problem is "local" is 38 miles away and I have 4-5 dealers closer.

My ace only sells those red kamados, I asked the guy one time why they didn't sell BGE's and he said the margins were just too low for him to stock them.

My ACE was a Primo dealer. I will have to check when I get more Rockwood.

The major problem is most employees will just tell customers to toss in some  briquettes and lighter fluid. Then tell the customer that is seems high priced compared to this $49 SmokeyJoe  next to it.
    They don't have a clue.

That's not true......same as everybody else.  It's more the buy-in and what you have to maintain when it comes to EGGsessories.  If you look at the "dealer locator" page you'll see how much stuff a Gold dealer has to have on the floor.  Also, there is some other stuff that has to happen if you have a competitor kamado sharing the same floor space.

The dealer network has been expanding in the Houston area. At least  2  more Ace stores are egg dealers now in the past 1-2 years, both in the south part of town. Used to be a 30-40 min to get to a dealer, and now its half that.

Keep in mind when looking at the BGE dealer locator.  Just because they are at a certain level of dealer, doesn't mean they have the best prices.  I have found that costs are held to be the same across the board, except for one dealer in my area, that recognizes me when I come in, and offers me 10% off retail price.  Makes me go out of my way to do business with them.

Of course every store is different but in general I like dealing with Ace for anything hardware related. When I ask if they can order something for me I get all the skinny in minutes. Ask someone at Lowe's or Home Depot and it might take a 1/2 hour to get specifics, if then.

Mine came from Ace.  Great prices and a knowledgeable staff.  Only beef is their Rockwood always seems like someone was body slammed on every pallet.

When looking on the BGE site a few days ago I noticed the different types of dealers.  Lucky for me the guy that sells "everything" is a mile away.  Funny thing too is his store is way smaller than the bigger dealers in the vicinity.  Personally, I rather support the local guy.

Hmm? Now that I'm retired I could use a part time job and ACE is only a quarter mile away? But would I net any profit?

I bought my MBGE from an Ace about 30 miles away, when I talked to my local Ace, they said they can't sell BGE because of 2 other vendors in the area are stocking them.
I have to go to Pinch-a-Penny or True Value Hardware locally to get my BGE accessories.

We just started selling them like a month ago and I had to be the first to get one. The BGE rep said only 1000 ace hardwares currently sell BGE's but by the end of 2020 over 4000 of the ace stores will

The last couple of weeks while watching my baseball games I have seen Ace running commercials a few times per game promoting three grill brands - Weber, Traeger, and BGE. Seeing BGE in the ad kinda surprised me.

The first time I saw the ad running I went to the Ace web site to see what was up. Looking at their listiing of grills I didn't see BGE anywhere. When I did a search for "Big Green Egg" a "special" page comes up and mentions that they are sold at select dealers and a "find your dealer" button but of course no further info online about prices.

I haven't been into a local Ace store in years. I knew they sold KJ but never saw BGE in there. Might have to swing by one and see if they have BGE alongside KJ in store.

I bought at an ACE, but I moved and the nearest ACE does not carry BGE, however a locally owned building supply store (large and well stocked) does. Last week they had an Eggfest on Thursday afternoon. Apparently an independently owned ACE has some choice over what they stock. Or else BGE gives out protected territories.

    Nice score!!!
I worked in a lumberyard and bartended through school.

Man I could provide a list of stuff for dirt cheap.  Shed, Samsung french door fridge, Larson roll up storm door, wine cart, pan rack, Pergo laminate, culling C Select Pine, etc etc.

Man I miss those epic deals.

Years ago I cooked at a fundraiser at the Clinton, IA Ace, for wheelchairs for the QC Honor Flight.  They had eggs, bought all of my Hartstone pottery there...knowledgeable, helpful folks.

Got mine from Ace, they had KJ as well. But when I went in the other day it seems as if the KJ was starting to go away. All they had were a few accessories.

I go to penn state and work at ace in the summer so I can work outside and get them good deals. Yeti and BGE are the both 50% off. They were trying to get rid off all the KJ merch so I pick up the KJ quick starter for $25!
