First spin on the XL

Will probably get slack for this post, but took the new big joetisserie for a spin on my XL today. Really impressed with the results. Chicken is probably not as good as spatchcock but it's different, so tough to compare. Picanha was awesome and the rotisserie opens up so many new possibilities. Can't wait to try some jerk pork on it.

So what makes spatch chicken better? I thought everything looked great!!-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

Looks good!
Personally, I'll take a spun whole chicken over spatchcocked every time.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk -

Looks good. Glad to see the big joetisserie fits the XL as there were conflicting reports. Thanks.

New toys are fun! Looks good!“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

Yes it fits, but it's a tight fit for the motor's bracket adjacent to the side shelf bracket. Other than that, no issues with the dome.chuckytheegghead said:Looks good. Thanks @Mattman3969 I find spatchcock chicken cooks more evenly throughout. Also easier to get a crispy skin because it's not self basting.Mattman3969 said:So what makes spatch chicken better? You can spin butterflied chicken. I spin chicken pieces all the time (like tonight). All good.
BGE Large and MiniMax, Napolean 500. Obsessed with rotisserie. -
Why would you get any grief for posting what appears to be a fantastic cook? When BGE comes out with something similar [ put on your hoodie in hell ] maybe.

Cook looks fantastic. I'm thinking about a joetisserie after seeing some nice write ups on doing prime rib on them.
