Tried a new method to guarantee medium rare. Still need to try on thicker cuts but it worked tonight.

Man I love me some steak on an egg. Beautiful right there. I'm curious of your method. I just do 550 degrees or so and a few minutes per side.

2 minutes,  turn 45 degrees,  2 more minutes, flip, repeat then 1 minute. Pull off.  Works for me.

    Trying new things = learning

id recommend using a instant read thermometer and rely on that more than a flip timing method - touch the steak after you check temp to learn how the different temps feel

    have you tried reverse searing?

I have reverse seared and I also do own digital thermometers. Awesome feedback and I continue to learn daily @Hans61
