Loading the XL

Two weekends ago was the maiden voyage for the new XL. I was surprised that it held 12 or more lbs. of lump. I did 4 hrs at 250ish for some ribs. When I went to add some today it looked like it had hardly used any at all. Added a few pieces just because.

Yeah, my medium is very frugal that way. I did the third cook today without adding any extra lump. Of course, I am using the center-cut stuff, so I may never have to add any more.

XL is very efficient. I just add if it needs it for short cooks.
If doing a L&S cook, I'll fill it up beforehand.

A full load in the XL will go for more than 24hrs at 250.  And I have then, with the leftovers, did 2 350-450 cooks (burgers and steaks) without adding any additional.

So here's an interesting thought... aside from the mini and max, I wonder if all the eggs can do >24 hours at 250? I've done it easily on my large. The XL can. I seem to recall someone saying the medium can. Small? Idk.
