amazen smoked salmon question

ive been playing around using the amazen smoker the last couple days and results have been great. I want to try some salmon tomorrow but have a quick question. Its only about 40-45 degrees here and with the amazen smoker in my egg, I doubt it will get to 80. So should I cold smoke the salmon a few hours then light the egg and bring the fish temp up after?
