shipping an Egg to NZ!

Thank you in advance for any help.
I am moving to New Zealand and shipping a 20' container. I hope to purchase a LG BGE and include this in the container. Is this a bad idea!?!?

Don't see an issue. An Egg already has to be handled and shipped everywhere as it is from where it's manufactured, to distribution, to dealers, then to the back yard.

Might want to peruse the warranty page - http://biggreenegg.com/warranty/

to see how the warranty applies to international users.

I have no idea as to the real world experience of folks in your situation but it may be that a Kiwi dealer may not provide warranty support for an Egg bought in the US.

Might want to send an email to both the US HQ and the NZ distributor to have them explain if your Egg would be eligible for warranty replacements when various ceramic parts crack.

We have assisted in quite a few international shipments over the years. A container provides a nice safe environment for the Egg, make sure that nothing can crush en route inside the container. You should be fine.
There are major problems shipping on open pallets.
