  • Welcome aboard.

My best advice: practice patience. That is the hardest part for me.

If you want to cook something then search the forum, see how other did it. then go out and try it yourself. My first cook involved pumpkin bread.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I have used a weber kettle for the last few years. .... Right now I just don't know what to ask. Thanks again.

Welcome.  The best thing to do is to try cooking various items and then posting specific questions if you are not happy with the results.  Since you are experienced with a Weber kettle, you already know most of how to cook with an egg.  The biggest thing to get used to is the impact the ceramic has compared to thin sheet metal.  The ceramic takes longer to warm up and longer to cool down than what you are used to. This also means that temperature fluctuations during cooking will be muted.  Make this one mental adjustment and you will be well underway.

In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’  Dare to think for yourself.
