Six Racks on a Large

Hi Folks,[p]I am planning on doing six racks of spares on a large this weekend, a variation of the 3/1/1.5 found in Dr. BBQ's red book (which I love). I have never done more then two in the past. Any advice? Suggestions? All feedback appreciated.[p]Thanks,[p]Jim.

Jim,
When I have smoked more then 3 racks the ends seem to burn. They stick out over the exposed direct sections not covered by the platesetter. I now foil the ends so they don't burn as much. It is still a problem for me even with the foil. Good luck, Tom

<p />Jim,[p]Howza bout a rib rack? You will want to tent the ends with foil until they shrink up a little. Mine holds 5 racks, but I'll bet you could get away with leaning a sixth one against it.[p]~thirdeye~
