  • I don't have much experience with cast iron but bought couple of Lodge skillets/DO. They are HEAVY and not as smooth. Read about griswold online and bought few -- restored and reseasoned them -- am very happy with the results.

    I would be ALLLL over this if the sale included Dutch Ovens. Good deal though for skillets.

    (Lodges) are HEAVY and not as smooth. 
    LOL... this! Griswold and Wagner for me. 40% off is a good price, but I'll pass.

    That 15" skillet with the handle cut off would make a nice drip pan for large owners. You could make some killer gravy straight in the pan.

    @NPHuskerFL demonstrates yet another benefit of this forum....i would have never known about the lodge one day sale and never would have found the replacement stove top griddle for momma to replace the crappy aluminum warped coated one we just threw away
