I was browsing around the bbq section of Walmart today and found this spatula set.  It has the solid, the one with holes and a griddle top scraper, all for $9.97.  These things are 3/16 inch thick, 4 inches wide and have a beveled front edge.  Just to check the deflection (for smashing burgers) I balanced a 64oz bottle of Gatorade on the end and there was absolutely zero deflection.  I can't wait to try them out on smash burgers real soon.

    Nice score.  Heavy duty is good for smashburgers.  Is 3/16" thick a typo?

    Might have grabbed those instead of ordering the Zenware set if I had seen them first.

    Went back and measured again. It is definitely an 1/8 and looks to be a tad more.  All I know is the dang thing is thick and there is no deflection with a 4lb (64oz) bottle of Gatorade sitting on the end of it.
