Franklins Book, Mickeys Turbo Ribs

So I just finished Franklins Book and also reading up on doing Mickeys Turbo Ribs I decided to combine them yesterday.  Add to that the ladies in house also like mushier sauced ribs (not my preference)....

So Aaron says 275, Mickey said 350 so I shot for 300 indirect (PS Woo two half stones) for 3 hrs, then light sauce and foil for 45 more min.  Pulled, rested in foil for 30 min.

So... they were beautiful in color, smelled great and SWMBO said they were the best I ever made... You could literally pull the bone out, the Salt Lick Rub and Sauce gave nice flavor.  For me they were as I expected too soft and mushy- I like to have to give it a bit of tug to get off the bone.

75% of family said to keep making it this way, me I will just go back to making a separate rack on the side for me.

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting.  The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president.

I think Aaron's method works well on an offset. I have come to the conclusion that you can achieve better results on the egg by just maintaining the dome temp at 275, spritzing every hour or so with 1/2 apple juice and apple cider and saucing (optional) right when the ribs pass the toothpick test. The ribs are still tender but are not mushy or falling off the bone.
