Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey. Great looking set-up right there.
Above said, in addition to the pavers you have under your BGE I would air-gap it. There have been too many (>0) fires from BGEs sitting on pavers on a wood table. Over time the wood heat fatigues and fails (dumps the BGE-most likely with the lump fired up) or just combusts. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
I thought I'd try a couple of ceramic tiles for asthetics instead of a paver. I put some 1/4" aluminum spacers between each layer. I've figured I shoot an infrared temp on the surfaces to see if it will be a problem. If so, trusty paver will be installed in place

Get the air gap between the tile and the bottom of the egg. 1/4" isn't enough of an air gap.
I'm one of the guys who had an unfortunate incident and lost my house and everything in it.
Mine was about the same distance from the house as yours. When the table was burning it eventually failed and tipped towards the house, catching the siding on fire and burning top into the eaves. Game over.
We got everyone out, but with not much margin. It'd be my great preference that no one have to go through that if at all possible.
Good looking setup - you did a nice job on your table! Enjoy the journey , there is much to learn and the successes are amazing. If you are like most, at some point you will have people tell you that if your day job doesn't work out you can do Q for a living - the food comes out that good. -
A beautiful setup and looks to be a nice backyard.

Congrats on the new setup and welcome to the group
Most of us take fire hazards seriously. Better safe than sorry. Glad to hear you are aware and monitoring it.

@wooderson, I had an egg sitting on a three and a half inch thick paver stone with no air gap. When I took the egg out to repaint the table the wood was scorched.

one tile and a table nest should solve the problem. Nice set up and grill space you have.
I like the look of Smokeware's new table nest better than the BGE version.

Jesus, well after reading about scorching and fires, I've been persuaded to purchase a table nest. I haven't even made my first fire!!! However, chance favors a prepared soul.
