How to - 2 chickens with veggies on a large BGE

We've had friends make us chicken with veggies in an oven, and it was great. I'm talking cut-up potatoes, carrots, and onions sitting in a pan, with the chicken set on top of it to baste the veggies with it's own deliciousness/juices. I'd like to make 2 chickens, just one would disappear fast with our crew.

What's the best approach, 2 side by side pans, maybe with the birds sitting upright? Or one larger pan, with 2 birds hugging? Any tips on adding seasoning, broth, white wine, what? What temp/estimated cook time?

Something similar to this:

Thanks!

    That's a beaut. I've got a roast chicken recipe for the egg I can't wait to try.

    I think the easiest way would be one large pan with two chickens.

    Ask your friends for the recipe- then just do it on the egg.  Set the egg up indirect and it is just like an oven.

    Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

    Two levels, indirect two spatch chix on the upper level with a large pan of the veggies below.  Always a winner.

    @SmokeyPitt Thx! @lousubcap Duh, that's easy too.

    I assume indirect, maybe 400 for temp?

    @platypusrex -  I run anywhere from around 350-375*F on the dome but 400 will only speed things up.  Enjoy.
