GG upside down burgers and onions

threw some red onion on the back side of the grill grates and finished them with some 18yo balsamic. Followed that with a few burgers. Really great sear and no sticking at all.

Those look solid! I haven't tried using the GG inverted, but this makes me want to. It looks perfect for thicker burgers like that to let some of the grease fall through.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Nice Pete!  Glad you ignored the bad news today.  I read a report that found bourbon wards off heart disease, DM type II and stroke.  I'm comfortable that we can have all the burgers and bacon we choose without any problems!

Thanks! If you make them very thick, make sure you regulate your temp down a bit. These weren't smash thin, but the were midrare.  Also make sure you tire your grid or GG 90 degrees to the opposing grate, otherwise the ridges on the grill grates fall between the cooking grid. They are a solid performer.

Perfect sear, no need for ketchup and mustard with the onions and cheese.  Nice cook!

Speaking of mustard - WARNING - OFF TOPIC! - hey Brandon, were you aware of the health benefits from mustard? This is NO SH*T - 2 tablespoons a day - even if you need to put them on a sandwich it has terrific benefits! I had never heard that until my doctor recommended mustard to me for some muscle problems I was having. I then researched it myself since it seemed strange and now I take 2 tablespoons of French's every morning. To some folks it may gag you at first, but I got over it on day 2 and then move on to my Cheerios, blueberries and milk.

On RAGBRAI I used this Amish cocktail riders in my pack swore by, using one capful in our morning water bottles.  Never cramped up the entire ride.  Could easily pickup the apple cider vinegar in it.  Pickle stands are scattered along the way too.

There are all kinds of unsupported claims from lowering cholesterol, blood glucose, weight... helping your skin, arthritis, etc etc.

Thank you kind SIR for adding your own experience creditability to my mustard post! And yes as I said I was having a muscle problem due to over-extending myself with 4 days worth of yard work. My doctor said while mustard is a non-prescription, self medicated, remedy she herself uses it religiously and that it is widely used by professional athletes for years.

Ron, you better get you a good supply of mustard cuz we need you healed up. Heck it's just now getting to be good cookin weather. I'm a mustard lover so that medicine would be no problem for me.
