    I have hard enough time with a prime rib sitting in the freezer that long. Never make it sitting that long in the fridge and ready to be cooked on a moments notice!! Waiting to see finished product

    Very unique flavor....it tastes 'buttery'. It is so tender I can't slice it. It just falls apart. It just melts in your mouth!! It is more moist than any meat I've ever cooked before. I've never had anything quite like this before.....I like it !!

    Pulled it at about 115-120 but there is no red tint. It does not taste like the prime rib I've ever ordered anywhere. The Penzies rub may have a big effect on the flavor...I used English Prime Rib Rub instead of my favorite RRP Prime Rib Rub. @RRP

    Hey Donnie, the English Prime Rib Rub is not that far off from your basic salt, pepper, and garlic rub.  A little celery seed, sugar, and onion thrown in for a slight shift in taste.

    Nice cook ... looks like a much different texture than a "normal" prime rib though.  You said you liked it, was it worth 180 days in the fridge better ... or just different?

    Are leaving your eggs on the trailer full time now?

    @Jeepster47....I have to say different. I love Prime Rib, med rare to rare. That is my favorite (along with about a hundred other things I've cooked since I started egging) !!!! 

    This is good, but def not the same taste. I'll wait and make a better judgement call tomorrow when I try it again !!!

    yes, I have left the eggs on the trailer all winter. I've got about 10-12 weekend events lined up to cook at this year so far.
