I know that with RTIC coolers the white gets dirtier and I suspect the same to be true of Yetis since the RTIC is just a copy of the yeti.

I also have a Yeti SB66 mountain bike, but it is turquoise. It gets very very dirty and I can't imagine the white SB66 getting any dirtier.
  • Looks dirtier yes.

We drove to TX from TN a few weeks ago and had a brown 75 and a white 45 on the back of a hitch haul. They were both filthy but the white looked it.

    I like my brown one.

So the white one is faster?

    Couldn't tell you...

Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

  • @mickey: I have that Tundra 45 in ice blue on the left. The Roadie I am considering is white. It won't be a match, but maybe it's fun to have a little variety.

@Killit_and_Grillit: Does the white clean up nicely? I don't mind it getting dirty, as long as it can be cleaned off from time to time. I noticed that Yeti recommends use of a pressure washer for the most stubborn dirt. In your experience, does this clean it completely?
  • @GrateEggspectations I mean I have some buddies in Florida and Texas that keep them on their boats. We get them real bloody and they catch a lot of crud on them and they seem to clean fine. I just like only having to worry about spraying off the outside and actually cleaning the inside and tossing it in the game room.

  • @Mickey I guess that's one way from keeping a dude from stealing your expensive cooler  ;);)

I jest. I just couldn't get into that color. I wish they would have done it in darker or brighter blue.

Every time I see that cooler all I can think is "it's a boy!!!"

Yetis get dirtier faster and cost twice as much to clean up.

Does your white tee shirt get dirtier quicker that your tan shirt?

    No- it just looks dirtier.

I know that the response to this question seems obvious, but the texture of the cooler is such that it doesn't absorb stains the way cotton or synthetic fabrics do. This is why I was curious about the potential discrepancy between colours.

Great grenade toss-too bad we have such a run to late Friday eve or the day itself.  But you never know how this will run.

I actually really dig the ice blue. Gotta admit, I love the "it's a girl" pink too - though I am not fortunate enough to own one. Dead sexy......

My white 50 is filthy. Doesn't wipe up clean that easy. Haven't bothered to pressure wash it.

It cleans up okay but mines stained so maybe some bleach and a brush will help it.

Admittedly i don't baby it. Or clean it. Or really care about it, it's a cooler. It's fallen out of my truck before.

But it holds up well and holds a ton! If I had to go back I'd wish for a darker color.

Thanks for the solid response, which really corresponds to my question.

To add, my rtic is white and it's just as filthy. Maybe a bleach soak and stuff brush and my coolers would look like a vanity item like they seem to be these days.

I'm not one for vanity, but I have to admit that I am borderline obsessive about the condition of my possessions, hence my question about the white.
