Burger rubs

Why don't I think about this more? Did salt & pepper for most like I normally do, but started thinking about curry burgers and that progressed to a pork rub I had.

Holy crap. Rub your burgers. It adds a subtle layer of flavor that even the 6 year old taste buds say MMMM that's good.

Everything tastes amazing to me when I'm drinking, but Kiddos' approval makes it all worthwhile.

Did you rub, or mix it in to the meat before forming the patties?

Did the rub on both sides before grilling. I'm going to experiment more and see what kind of difference it makes rubbing vs mixing. My girls were happy nevertheless.

If you mix, do it right before cooking. The salt in the rub can pull out moisture if it sits too long.

I try to let the kiddos help make the burgers. They always end up being the best burgers they ever ate.
