Comfort Food - Cast Iron Smoked Chicken Noodle Soup

Nothing fancy here but an easy twist with a classic.
Smoked breast and thighs on the Egg at 350 raised direct with apple chips. Sweated an onion, garlic, carrots and celery, added a couple sprigs of thyme. Added some leftover chicken stock and a new low-salt 48 oz chicken broth and XL egg noodles (went a tad overboard with the noodles).
Returned to the egg to smoke at 225 for a couple hours. The initial sample egg noodle taste after an hour was tremendous.
Pass the crackers!

Simple and delicious. Looks great to me.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"
