Gasket Recommendations

So it's once again time to replace the gasket on my egg and I was looking for recommendations from the group. Last time I did it I went with the Gold Standard self adhered gasket, it worked pretty well and lasted a few years until I tried to open the egg in below freezing temps and ripped it right off the egg. It's pretty burnt up at this point so no point in just gluing it back down. Anyway I am looking for any insights on other brands before I go and put the same one on again I want to make sure there isn't something else out there that is better performing.

Contact @RRP for a rutland gasket. $12 shipped. Lasts a long, long time. Applies to one side only (usually the base)Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone

In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
I agree with the previous posts. Contact @RRP and you will have your gasket in a couple of days. He includes detailed directions on preping the surface and installation of the new gasket. He has shipped over 3000 gaskets including two of them to me.Nerk Ahia LBGE

Surprised no one has suggested the new KJ gasket. (ducks for cover)

The Rutland gasket is great! An added bonus, it does not freeze shut since it is only on the base.

I just put on my Rutland last week... I love it so far. How long do these usually last?
