Flame Boss Question

Hi all--long time forum reader here, first time posting.
I have a question about the FB 200--started out today with 2 3.5# pork butts. Got them on at about 8:30 this morning, and they're still going. After noticing the meat temp wasn't moving along as quickly as it should, I checked the pit temp vs. dome temp, and there is about a 75 degree difference. I had the pit temp set at 250, and the dome was showing about 175. I finally bumped it up to 330 on the FB to hit 250 dome, and am hoping to ride it out like that.
Is that somewhat normal, or is something out of whack? Any insight would be appreciated.

Has the dome thermometer been calibrated? After a couple hours both dome and grid should be about the same.
Make sure the grid probe is over the plate setter and not exposed to the direct heat from the coals.Highland, MI

@Meeeshigan22 That was it! Apparently it was a little too close to the edge of the plate setter. Moved it over and they're in sync. Thank you!
