Great move  "Easier to beg forgiveness then ask permission."  Just be aware that the pay-back will make the $200 seem insignificant.  ;)

    What setup did you order?

I ordered 2 drip pans (minimax and XL), XL Woo, 17.5 stone, XL Wok, and a XL Kick Ash basket.

I was ordering the Kick ash basket anyway, but it was like $12 cheaper on CGS and got me to free shipping. XL Woo and stone, where cheaper than getting a Plate setter, so I just went that route for more versatility. Gave me an excuse to get the Wok too.

Well she knew about the drip pans, I'll tell her the same thing she tells me when she orders more than she told me she was going to. "Well I had to spend $XX to get free shipping....

  • I'm in the same boat as @Sea2Ski and thinking of putting in another last minute order. Evil, evil site.
  • I was at $303, then called today and ordered the 19" pizza stone. So yeah, about $347. Hopefully it all ships tomorrow.

I gave up. Couldn't get website figured out again during the sale and couldn't get them on the phone. I'm would have been my third substantial order from them. Got my XL decked out and one of my L's, but alas I was foiled this time around.

My wife stopped asking what I spent.  I stop asking what she spent.  Fiscally irresponsible but it keeps the peace.

I called CGS a few weeks ago to talk accessories for the MiniMax and my Primo round, and I ordered quite a bit of stuff, he was very helpful. At the end of the conversation he put a bug in my ear about getting a primo oval.... So I did. Not sure why a single person needs three grills but, whatever.

Then I ordered a KAB for MiniMax this weekend, and somehow ordered two. Now thinking maybe I need another grill because I have a KAB that needs a grill... All this AFTER I emailed @stlcharcoal about a Flameboss, and ordered that, and some other accessories.

    Does it ever stop????

That will be easy to explain... My wife has came home to a 1,400 dollar challenger table before and a 1,000 smoker before.

I have promised tmyself to stay away from CGS until the first of the year. Have three kids that need Santa to come through for them this year. Thankfully, the internet filter at work picked up on this forum, so I can't easily check in on all you instigators all day long and I have to say it has really helped with my savings!!

  • How long does it take for them to ship an order? I ordered Friday afternoon and it still hasn't shipped?

I wish there was a reason. 9 grills for the wife and I. I found a free Acorn grill the other day on Craigslist but I resisted. 10 might be too much! =)

thanks to all for the supporting our ceramic venture.  Generally, we are very good about getting orders out quickly but the last week as been......crazy.  Shipping is running orders in batches and after tomorrow should be getting back to a more normal groove.

One thing we don't do is interrupt one customer for another, so if you call and don't get us, good chance we are helping someone else. The best thing to do is leave a message.  We do our best to return calls daily.

    We sincerely appreciate your patronage.

Thats a lot of grills! I had intended to sell the round after I got the oval, but during Thanksgiving, I had all three going at the same time, and really like having two nice sized grills. I have enough spare parts from warranties and accessories to build another Primo Round, but have resisted thus far. And then there is the Blackstone and SV temptations....

Their website is terrible.  I would have been in so much trouble with my wife if it was easier to use.

I almost went for one of those and decided the plug is not that annoying after all.

I really am getting better now at saying no.

I have a handful of things from CGS.

Wife understands, she likes to eat food off the BGE, so when I ask her for [yet] another item, she says "stop asking, just buy it".

It's both good and bad to have an enabler wife ;).
