BGE Tee-shirt mystery. Sleuths needed...

So my wife is a big picker and routinely combs through Goodwill and other thrift shops for things to sell in her eBay store. She came home yesterday with a brand new Under Armour woman's athletic tee with what looks like official BGE printing. Brand new with tags - priced at $45. So, what's the story? How did this tee make it into a thrift shop in Richmond, VA?
Some of you are familiar with the infamous but tragic ultra-short story often attributed to Hemingway. It reads, "For sale. Baby shoes. Never worn." So I'm imagining the following: "EggFest gift. Wife displeased. Dog house."
What say you sleuths?

Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here. Very Extremely Stable Genius.

If the wife was displeased, I'm pretty sure it would have been a guys shirt that was donated.

I'm imagining a scenario like...
wife "Everything you cook tastes like smoke"
hubby "Ok, if that's how you feel, I'll get rid of the new BGE shirt I got you"
wife "I wish we had kept our old gas grill, the food was better"
hubby "that shirt was much too small on you anyway"Phoenix -
Probably a dealer went out of business

I think the answer - is how many women would pay $45 and wear that?Jacksonville FL

How much does she want for it?? I'd wear it!2 Large BGE, MiniMax, Miami, FL

I like my egg but there's no way I'm paying $45 to advertise for them!Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

i'd guess maybe someone didn't want to walk around with a giant brand name advertisement for a grill splashed across their chest.
-
I might pay if there was some entertainment in it. Kinda like this:

Wow, there's a pile of accessories someone could have bought for that $45. That's probably why it ended up in the thrift shop. Store surplus that never sold. Not a big market for women's BGE shirts.
