Did a clean out in prep for a new shipment of Rockwood (Ya, it finally arrived today) and discovered cracks in both the fire box and fire ring.
Pictures sent to dealer. Anticipate no issues.

When is your fork ever gonna give out???Charlotte, NC - Large BGE 2014, Maverick ET 733, Thermopen, Nest, Platesetter, Woo2 and Extender w/Grid, Kick Ash Basket, Pizza Stone, SS Smokeware Cap, Blackstone 36"

Fire box... non issue Mines been cracked for 2 years. Unless it's falling apart I am not even bothering reporting it.
If it's falling apart when you pull it out then I see the point but these things can hold cracks for a while and still hold together.

If you have warranty coverage get a firebox replacement. Always good to have a spare

Just got my firebox replaced. I don't understand why people keep putting theirs together like a jig saw puzzle after its cracked and broken. Warranty replaces it for free, so just do it. That said, my cracked ones still in the Egg because I haven't bothered to pull the old one out to do a complete clean out, but when I do, I'll put the new one in.

I just sent this picture to my dealer and my replacements were ordered today. This is my second firebox in 11 years and they made it painless.
My dealer is "The Woodburners" in Hatfield PA.

I'm thinking I won't even need to use the replacements for a while but they will be on hand if something falls apart to the point of no return.

Update:
Went to place cracked fire box and fire ring back in the egg for a simple burger cook tonight.
Picked up the box and it was a clean full break into two pieces. Matched the break, lined up the hole, loaded Rockwood and will cook on.
In the meantime, my dealer texted today and the new parts will be @ The Big Grill Shop (Suwanee, GA) tomorrow.
After 2 1/2 years, I'm getting half of the ceramics of a new Egg.
Thank, BGE!
