I'm considering joining KCBS, but I'm not really sure what the benefit is? I don't see myself competing in their circuit. I'd love to hear the pro's and con's from those of you who are (or were) members?
Thanks in advance!

You get daily passes to restaurant depot. Around me it's about $5 a pound for a brisket at the butcher and they are like $2.80 a lb for the choice angus at RD.

If you want to shop at Restaurant Depot and have no other (free) way to get a membership, join KCBS. Can't think of another reason.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

You get the bull sheet in the mail if you want. It makes good fire starter and worm food.
