Turkey, Not pre brined!

Hi one and all. I found a recipe in the newest issue of Chile Pepper for a 10 to 12 lb turkey on the grill. The recipe calls for marinading overnight. My dilemma is that all turkeys that I found in Rouse's are pre injected with salt, broth, boatloads of salt and who knows what else. The local stores are Rouse's, Walmart, and Winn Dixie. Rouse's, until recently, sourced it's own turkeys and I could buy various parts of turkeys like thighs, split breast, legs etc. Now they only offer prepackaged ground turkey from Honeysuckle and whole frozen Honeysuckle turkeys. I don't really trust Walmart meat. If I wait till the weekend I can go buy Whole Foods and suffer a walletectomy. I want to just season a plain bird the way that I want to. BTW the marinade includes citrus vodka. Any suggestions.

If you buy a pre brined turkey just go with your recipe but skip the salt.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.
