I'm cooking on mine tonight, I did commit to passing it on to my FIL but damn it I love my grills. I'm not sure he will even use it, may pretend to forget what I said to him.

You guys ain't kidding about this thing not getting up to temp. 25 minutes now and I'm at 275 :(
same lump as in my XL, Cowboy, same lighting procedures and this is where I'm at...
ive tried open dome for 15min, tried cracked open dome with no lid and nothingXL bge, Mini max & 36 BS Griddle. -

I have the BBQ guru for my XL. I know I need to get the adapter plate for the intake door on the bottom of the minimax.
By hooking this guru up will this solve my issue of getting this minimax up to temperature a lot quicker rather than not having anything blowing air into the bottom of the eggXL bge, Mini max & 36 BS Griddle. -
I have a MM and replaced the gasket with a Rutland and I think it some to temp faster and gets hotter, had to reduce the vents with the new gasket. very happyNorthern New Jersey

Just got in contact with Ron. I'm going to be placing an order for those Rutland gaskets. like I said I've had one for over three years on my extra large and it still going like newXL bge, Mini max & 36 BS Griddle.
