theres a guy almost two hours away selling this egg for $200. I might be able to talk him down a bit. What do you think?
He says cooked on only twice... I noticed Old hinges - what does that mean? He says 18" diameter.

Looks almost new- it's the old handle and old hinges so it could likely be the older ceramic that isn't capable for high heat (pizza). But sure someone will be along soon that knows for sure. Price is awesome and unit looks basically perfect- I would go for it.

I would be ALL OVER THAT! even with the two hour drive and the old hinges. The older ceramics that can't take the heat would be the terracotta orange color.

I was going to buy the newer mini band a few years ago for $60. I waited a few months and went back in and they said BGE corp increased the price to either $75 or $80 for it. Way too much and passed once again.Lit said:

My dad has one identical to that......old hinges, black draft door, orange inside, etc. It's over 20 years old and we cooked PLENTY of pizzas on it. Never had a problem with clean burns either.

If I can get a medium in my work car (Toyota Corolla) you shouldn't have an issue. Put in the front seat and buckle it in!
