I am using my egg for the first time- chicken on a vertical roaster- [p]Indirect method-[p]do you heat up the egg with the place setter in the egg, or do you heat it up to the desired temp, then put the place setter in the egg?

Sandman,[p]Always heat up with the plate setter installed. If not the temp drops until it does heat up.[p]Spin
