Just Bought a Plate Setter, now what???

Another plate setter question.
Say I am cooking something like chicken wings that require 1 hour indirect, and 10 mins direct to finish them off.
How do I remove the plate setter from the Egg?
1) with out burning myself?
2) with out cracking it?

Ahh... The great glove debate is about to start! FWIW, on lower temp indirects (not pizza!) I've had no problem removing the grid with a grid lifter and then blabbing the PS with welder's gloves or good oven mitts. As you'll see throughout the forum, make sure you've identified a spot near bye where you'll put it - for me I just open my gasser and put it on that grid. Only 2 1/2 months in, but it has not cracked after about 20 uses handled this wayDoug

I just wanted to update everyone, I tried my first cook with the Plate Setter.
And it went GREAT!!!
I did quesadilas.
And I did it Legs up?
So here is what a I did.
I took a New York Strip (on-sale)
Seasoned it with traditional fajitas seasoning.
And a lime, making sure to get some of the pulp, on the steak.
I got the Egg around 600 dome temp.
And stated putting mesquite wood chips in there.
I cooked it for about 3 - 4_mins each side.
Then pulled it off, and wrapped it tinfoil and let them sit till the egg cooled down to about 225.
I added afew more chips of mesquite wood.
I took a damp paper toile
Then I put the plate setter on grate, legs up.
The let it warm up alittle.
Added the tortilla.
Put meat & cheese.
Letting them sit for about 20 - 30 seconds per side, and pressing down on them before the flip to make sure everything stayed inside during the flip.
