Maiden voyage

I just bought my first egg (minmax) today. I'm going to take it on its maiden voyage tomorrow with grilling some salmon. I bought a grilling plank to go with it. Any suggestions on the paramaters (i.e. temp, time, how much lump, etc) to help get me started?

Soak the plank, cook at 300-400ish direct until the salmon is 140-145 IT.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Almost in sync with @SmokeyPitt - but I would take it to around 135*F in the thickest part. Also whatever prep/rub/brine/marinade you land on, I find a nice slice of lemon on top (I go skin side down) for the cook duration gives a nice addition to the flavor. As long as you don't over-cook you will be fine.

A good sign that it's getting done is that the fish will start bleeding a white goo(I forget the actual name of said goo). That's when I pull it.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

I do it all the time. 400 raised direct on a soaked plank until IT is 138-140

Welcome, I agree with those above, but would add.... Put the plank on ahead and get a nice sear on the plank before you put the salmon on it. It will make all the difference trust me
