7.5lb butt overnight cook
jbh3rd
Posts: 4
I'm overnight cooking a 7.5lb butt for work tomorrow. Going to put it on at 12 am. I'll get up at 6:30 to check.
I'm thinking 225 on the temp.
Foil or no foil in the am? Coming back at noon to pick up for a 1 pm luncheon.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Risky leaving it for 5 hours. No way I would wrap and leave it for 5 hours thats for sure. I probably would start it sooner, or go at a higher temp.

I did a 16lb cook the other night it was on for 18 hrs. I wish I would have wrapped it in the AM
