Is seasoning necessary on new firebox??

Greetings-
I received my new firebox through warranty replacement today and I was wondering if I need to "season" it as you would a new Egg by using lower temperature burns for the first 5+ cooks? If you have gone through this process I would appreciate it if you would share your knowledge. Bad puns about seasoning and grilling might
also be appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Nope, that's more for the gasket then the ceramics. Fire it up and enjoy whatever you would like.I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

I have not "seasoned" either of mine. Just start egging away !

I like mine with a little SPOG

Just cook.
Keeping it under the speed limit only pertains to the gasket adhesive.

Great, thanks for the information. Thought I would get a few more bad jokes regarding seasoning but it was a Sunday...
