First Time Ribs - Car Wash Mike style

I picked up my egg at an eggfest last Saturday. For my third cook, I decided to go for it. 3 racks of baby backs from Sam's.
Overall, I am very happy. My temps were right on or very close for the duration. Cooked 5 hrs 20 min. Haven't busted out the FB200 yet, wanted to get used to manually doing things on these short to medium length cooks.

Hope the pics post correctly. Thanks for letting me read your alls' tips and recipes.

Nice cook! Did you add the sauce while the ribs were still on the Egg or after removal?Atlanta, GA - Large BGE x 2

Thanks guys. I sauced them on the egg and opened it up a little to climb to 275. I left them on for 20 min with the sauce. A heavy downpour started just as I was finishing so 20 min was it.

Very nice. Mike would be proud. One of the good guys.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

Were you allowed access to the Brownsboro fest last weekend? Looks like their screening was clearly on the weak side
All kidding aside, great cook and result. And good call to figure it out w/o the controller-now you know you can drive the BGE regardless of electronic help. Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
