First cook on new LBGE tonight

The movers won't be here for another week so we're living out of suitcases and eating off paper and plastic. No pans, no utensils: I'm lucky to have clean boxers. But Ace delivered my egg a few days ago and we wanted to eat at home so I went easy: burgers and asparagus. Easy until I realized the only cooking tool I had was a spatula only because I bought one with the egg; good for getting the burgers off the grill but the asparagus was going to be more challenging. Luckily I bought an ash tool too and it worked like a champ getting the stalks back onto the spatula.

Bone-in rib eyes with taters Sunday. Our stuff will be here in a week (hopefully), and the learning can truly begin!

That's awesome.  You have an egg and a suitcase and an empty house.  Way to improvise.  You certainly will be eating well until the truck arrives!

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.  Congrats on the audible and results-pics be da-ned.  Very perceptive to get the BGE in advance of the household goods.  You have unique opportunity to train SWMBO that the BGE requires special and dedicated attention along with the requisite adult supervisory beverages to achieve excellent output.  Strike while the iron is hot!  ;)
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

That simple home cooked meal was a pick-up. We've been on the road for about two weeks. Restaurant food and sandwiches, even good ones, don't cut it after a while :)

Mayflower. The estimate was 3 days to 2 weeks. The driver confirmed 2 weeks when we checked in. Hope we don't have to buy an air mattress and kitchen stuff, lol.

SWMBO gave a thumbs up on the smoke flavor so the indoctrination is off to a good start.
