70s version egg coating

Hello, I have a small BGE from the 70s or maybe 80s. It has the faded green outside surface. I am also looking at another from that era. Has anyone painted or coated an egg of this vintage? Should I try the paint method or jus enjoy the "patina"

i HAVE RESTORED 3 FROM THAT ERE, 1 i ,PAINTED A bbq HIGH TEMP BLACK, THE SECOND A FLECK GREEN FROM lOWES AND THE THIRD LEFT NATURAL. jUST BE SURE TO KEEP YOUR COOKING TEMP UNDER 350-375 OR THE BOX WILL EVENYUALLY CRACK AS THEY WRE NOT MADE FOR HIGH TEMP COOKS.
