It was a sad day. My base was warrantied a year back and it was time to swap out the base. It took me about a half hour before I could bring myself to break up the base.

Umbrella holder, planter, etc. Couldn't bring myself to just smash it.

@dmw agreed on the planter idea. FYI, I regard you as one of the great cooks here, and if you want to paint your toes, then go for it. No judgments.Phoenix -
Who's judging. I see nothing but complements.

I can't tell from the pics but if your BGE is sitting on a paver then I would strongly suggest that in addition to the paver you air-gap it. Too many (>0) fires from the heat stressed wood below failing and you can guess how that scenario plays out. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Oh, BTW, not sure I would have bashed that base. I'd use that as a basin to get pedicures in.------------------------------

Hey, I'll admit it. I've had pedicures. My fiancee talked me into it while we were on vacation in the UP of Michigan. Very relaxing! I wonder if they have BGE green nail polish?~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

I'm jealous of everyone's egging spots that look like they're cooking in the middle of the woods and here I am lost in suburbia of OKC

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
