Medium Woo questions...

I am thinking of purchasing this Medium Woo:

https://ceramicgrillstore.com/collections/bge-minimax-medium-mini-small/products/medium-woo-with-handles-bge

If anyone has one could you tell me if the platesetter will fit inside the Woo? One of the comments on the unit stated that the purchaser had to modify his platesetter to fit, this is something I am hoping to avoid!

Also, if you have one with the handles, will a CI grid still fit on top?

Thanks!

Medium woo is great.  I'd skip the ps, and go with a stone instead.

The woo with the handles only works with the newer grate (15 3/4").  If you have the older 15" grate, you have to get the woo without handles,  or upgrade to the newer grate.

I have no knowledge of the ci grate compatibility.

Thanks blasting, I will measure my grate and see if its the 15 3/4 variety.

I agree with Blasting......you don't need both the PS and Woo....go with the stone & Stainless drip pan.

I don't believe the cast iron grate will work with the woo with handles. I have the woo but not the CI grate. I love my woos.

hmmm, ok, I decided to hold off on the Woo. But that ceramicgrillstore site is nice. Decided to pick up a 14inch carbon steel wok and 5 prong wok ring. Had to buy SOMETHING, right :)

I have the plate setter for indirect and if I want to cook further then the fire ring  I have two CI grates - set one low put on two firebricks then add the other grate. That should put the higher grate at the felt line.

If you give them a call, they can likely make you a "custom" woo with handles for the cast iron grate.
