Bottom band sagging on XL

The bottom band on my  XL keeps working is way down in the back.
It has always done this.  I'm assuming it is due to the fact that the dome is so  heavy on the xl and when it rocks back opening it works its way down over time.
About once or twice a year I'll take it loose , reposition the band , replace the bolt , and tighten it till well bent.

Anyone else have this issue with an XL ?
Any suggestions to solve the problem ?

  • Yep, had the same problem with mine. Crank it down tight, recheck it when the egg is hot (others will disagree) make sure it's tight. Recheck on the next cook and check periodically. So far so good for me.

Yup...check ours frequently.  Enough so that a 1/2"  wrench is always on the table...
