Country fried steak and gravy.

Did some country fried steak and gravy tonight. The combination of the egg and a cast iron skillet just made it taste amazing. 


Also put 2 of my cast iron skillets in the egg as it cooled to season them.

It's pretty simple. I let my cube steak sit in some salt water to draw out the blood and make it more tender. For the breaking I did a mixture of all purpose flour and cornmeal. Put some crisco shortening in the skillet and after the grease was hot I put them on.1 LBGE. Winder, GA

I have got to try and fry on the egg, but I am always worried about the oil getting to hot and flashing. I love country fried steak with the white gravy, looks awesome

It wasn't too bad, the thermometer didn't go above 500.
