It is a lump saver for sure two cooks at pretty high temps and the charcoal is still good for another. Don't know how often I will use the large now.

Use mine all the time for weekday cooks, I highly recommend looking into a woo from ceramic grill store. It will raise the grate to felt height which I think helps it cook better. Toss in a small stone and you can do indirect as well.

I'd say the woo and stone is a must have!

Nothing better than a brand new egg. I have had my large for about 3 years but finally decided to get the small for the regular weekday cooks.

Completely agree.  Plus the woo ring has 3 nuts attached (at least mine does), so I raise it even higher.  Perfect for wings, spatchcock, etc.  And, of course, perfect for a wok, or balancing your shish kabobs over, etc.  With a stone, it is perferfect for a 5 qt Dutch Oven.  I often use it for bacon, a pot roast, chili, etc.
