Once the pricing gets around $4,000.00, one should really start looking at the Komodo Kamado line and start comparing.
or buy 2 of those huge Weber Ranchers and still have plenty of coin left over to buy lots and lots of protein to feed those Ranchers!  =)

Wonder what the weber forum is like based on the price for this thing. If the XXL is crazy, i dont know what this chatter would be like.

Not as off base as you think. If it performs comparable to an XL, then it's prices about right. It's not a kettle and it's not a Kamado.

An xxl at that price without warranty wont work for me.   Risk is too high.  If it was 2000, maybe but then my feeling is that the xxl should be priced around 2500 new

@bgeaddikt, that is what i am thinking as well.  Imagine a cracked base on that sucker and having to pay 2k for it durimg an excruciatingly long wait.

Last time I was at my dealer in Winter Park, Fl they had one on the floor with a make offer sign on it. Said it took up to much floor space and were looking to get rid of it.

I wish I knew what the dealer cost was for an XXL. If it was low enough, it might be worthy to start a dealership in a local store for the discount !!!

You're not going to get the same amount of "real estate" (grilling area) out of one of the $4K Komodo Kamados as you can get out of the XXL

    It's a "Kettlemado". Or maybe a "Kamettle".

This is kind of like a ford/Chevy/ram thing. And why did you get white. Black is better...no wait blue. Everyone has there comfort levels on what they spend. I could have gotten a stick burner for a heck of a lot less then the 12k meat monster but it was not what I wanted. Why do some buy a Harley over a Honda? It's what they choose to spend THERE money on. And let's face it it's so cool to say you have a XXL and you don't. =)
