Kingford Competition Charcoal

I saw a new Kingsford Competition charcoal at Meijer made specifically for ceramic smokers.  Does anyone use Kingsford charcoal in their Egg?

A friend of mine used this in his WSM and was very happy with the results but I haven't heard of anyone using it in the BGE.

It is not unheard of to use briquettes in a kamado. Just more ash to deal with.

Kingsford Comp charcoal creates less ash than their normal blue bag briquettes but still quite a bit more than lump charcoal.

I haven't seen a Kingsford product that says it is made specifically for ceramic cookers. Give it a try.
