Smoked trout salad

Since @jstroke and @tarheelmatt are showing off salads, i'll jump on the bandwagon.  Here's our dinner tonight.  From the Gjelina cookbook.  Trout was smoked at 250 for 20 minutes or so.  Arugula was dressed with olive oil and lemon juice, salt and pepper.  Tossed with some fresh parmesan and red onion.  Grapefruit and avocado slices, too.  This was delicious.  I'm loving this cookbook.

I love arugula.  Nice a peppery.  Great with red meat too with a simple vinaigrette.

@blind99 Thanks for asking. All is good. The 6" crease was hardly visible when looking at the hood. I missed it when looking over the vehicle when my wife purchased it. The only time you really could notice it was in the direct sunlight at a certain angle. Still need to fill a small rock chip in the hood that has a potential to rust if not filled. Than a buddy will clear shield her car for her. All will be right again! =)

I almost made that 6" crease look petty last night. Every car I've owned (besides a Lumina my mother-in-law was going to scrap that we took in and fixed) have been manual transmissions. So we bought my wife's Outlander Sport in manual transmission since she has always enjoyed driving my vehicles with a stick. So long story short, I drive home from a friend's graduation party in her car and park it in the driveway like normal. (Probably my 3rd maybe 4th time driving it as we always take the Lumina to put miles on that since it's more of a bonus car) Once home my wife takes the dog out and walks in front of her car to let him do his business. All is good. We repeat this process a few hours later but this time she walks in front of where her car should be but isn't. Yep.... her car rolled down the driveway (slightest incline) into the street and the rear tires were up the driveway of the neighbors. Whoa! Fortunately we live in a quite neighborhood that is "U" shaped and don't see much traffic and it being around 11pm helped. Never had that happen before. I had to release the emergency brake to move it back in the driveway. So that was set. I didn't have it in gear as the extra precaution. Stupid as I always keep it in gear with the emergency brake on in my truck. Her gear box sits way more foward than in my truck and what I thought was 4th gear must have been neutral. Could have been muuuccchhhh worse. Luckily my driveway doesn't have much of an incline and must have rolled slowly down the driveway. Little embarrassing to say the least if any neighbors noticed
