Finally found a used cast iron plate setter

Back when I bought my LBGE, I had envisioned picking up a cast iron plate setter. I liked the idea of a thinner, more durable plate setter that could also be used as a grilling surface. However, I am in Canada. They are not available retail anywhere near me and shipping and exchange are such that i would be looking at the $250 or so range to get my hands on one via an online source. As an alternative, I picked up the regular plate setter from the dealer for about $100. I now have the opportunity to buy a used Paragon cast iron plate setter for $120 (which is steep, but still not bad relative to the costs of getting one new via online sources). Kinda on the fence about picking up the Paragon.
Thoughts? Do the benefits of the cast iron PS justify purchase (rendering my recently purchased, perfectly good and warrantied ceramic PS obsolete)?

Just my $.02 but you could just get a cast iron griddle for a fraction of the price. Since you already have a PS the only advantage is the cooking surface.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Your current plate setter will crack--eventually. The question is--is the cast iron PS the final answer. Does the AR or Woo interest you more. You can also sell the current "new" PS to help offset the price.Columbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

Thanks for the input all. I have seen the Naked Whiz's review. He sees the cast iron PS pretty favourably. While I am definitely tempted to get an adjustable rig, I am in Canada - the shipping (as well as the current exchange rates) would have me spending hundreds and hundreds on the AR. I looked at the CGS to get a wok ring, and it was more than double US pricing after shipping and exchange.
I'll think on it, but I may just pass on the cast iron PS.
