Stopped by the mothership today

I was just up the road from the mothership today and decided to stop and browse for a minute. They had a table of items that were 50% of the marked price. Picked up 3 nice hand towels for $1 each.

Those a nice, may have to pick some of those up myself, if I can find them. Hard to believe only $2 regular price, that's a deal event at regular price.Dave

Those look nice, wish they had them near here.

They also had some of the vertical chicken and turkey roaster that were steel as well. Almost got one of them, but wasn't sure how much I'd use it. I knew I'd get more use out of the towels than anything they had.1 LBGE. Winder, GA

I think spatchcocking made the vertical holders useless. I have a couple of them that I have not used in years._________________________________________________Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!Large BGE 2006, Mini Max 2014, 36" Blackstone, Anova Sous Vide

I would rather drink my beer watching the Buckeyes kick Fichigans ass.THEBuckeye said:

They still had the golf towels, the turkey and chicken racks, some expanding baskets with detachable handles, candles, some oven mitt style gloves, and some rubs on the table this afternoon.
Got it done towels and rubs for something new to try....LBGE since 2014

man-oh-man I love those small towels! Never seen them before and probably never will at least at that price!
Amongst my inexpensive collection of "prized" BGE items are a small oval "platter" with an old style logo. A S & P shaker used daily. A deck of BGE playing cards and BGE roasting ear corncob holders - neither ever used. Funny thing about the cards and holders is they were sanctioned in the USA, made in China, purchased in Holland and then gifted to me back in the USA!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
Oh boy. I guess the mothership will sell whatever it can to rubes on the midway....
-
call us whatever you want, but yes there is a following here - call it proud to be connected/affiliated or whatever. Is it really much different than any other product marketing gimmick?yljkt said:Oh boy. Only if you can avoid it. Then its called marketing 101.

Then in your opinion I'm a fool for spending money on my purchases promoting BGE products and some other products I love and their marketing gimmicks as well promoting those material products. BUT here is the kicker...it was MY money - not YOUR money! so does that make it OK now?Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
Why are you tossing around your Vette and Benz Ron? Humblebragging?
-
sorry - I was trying to make a point - never thought of it as bragging. Ah sh*t I'm outa here!DoubleEgger said:Why are you tossing around your Vette and Benz Ron? Humblebragging?Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
My comment was really more tongue in cheek than anything. I'm eyeing up the salt and pepper shakers and the patio light string.RRP said:

THEBuckeye said:$25 for the chair, $65 for the logo.
The chair was nice. Well padded with a small "cooler" built into the left arm. Might hold 3 longnecks.
Not for me. I'll keepo my zero-gravity chair from Cabellas or my hammock.LBGE since 2014

Looks like they added a couple of items to the clearance table 50%. including some table cloth weights that would make good Christmas ornaments!
-
Dang, wish I lived nearby.
-
Maybe I should make another stop, really like the tablecloth weights.1 LBGE. Winder, GA

I like the weights..... I might have to stop by again!!!

Thanks for the very kind offer, I just wanted a few hand-towels but it is more effort than a couple of $1 hand-towels are worth :lol -
If I see them there, I'll grab them.... Its nothing to me to run by there. Hell, I drive all over this damn city for other things...
