My Michigan has served me well at well over half the cost.
This is the one I bought.

I like mine a lot. Take care of it and it'll be a favorite cutting surface/prep space.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

I've had mine for 4 years +. Besides knife marks, it looks new. I recommend going at least 2 inches thick, whatever board you get.

I have this one and its very nice...

I have a 24"x24"x4" boos and it is excellent, but I bought it though directbuy so it was not full price. I would probably look for a cheaper alternative if it wasn't for that.Large BGEBBQ Guru DigiQ IIMartensville, Saskatchewan Canada

Wow, I like that edge grain maple block. Does it have any feet/nubs on the bottom or is it just flat wood? I'd imagine it's heavy and won't slide around on stone counter tops?
Looking for a really large prep surface that I can put bowls and plates to the side of it and scrap things off while we are mass prepping for cooks, toss on a large poly board for meats and things and able to pull off and keep churning away at prep.
Like the price over the boos!-FATC1TY

@FATC1TY no feet and it does slide around. I have mine on an inexpensive silpat so it stays put. It is heavy duty and the extra height makes prepping at the counter less back breaking. Mine is just to the left of a pull out garbage can so stuff get scraped right into the can. Love it and hard to beat the price for the quality board.

To stop sliding on a slick surface, dampen a tea towel and place it under the board. Easy peasy, no slip.A poor widows son.

Boos are made here in Illinois in Effingham. They have a company store and they sell seconds. A student gifted me a beautiful walnut 18x24x1.5 which he claimed he got for a song! I never figured out what made it a second and I happen to be a wood working entusiast! That was 9 years ago and it still looks like new! But then it's like anything else - take care of it and it will take care of you!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

Nice Aritsugu Darian! Did you visit the store in Kyoto? We went a couple of years ago and I got one just like the one in your picture and they put my name in Japanese on one side. Really cool experiencePhoto Egg said:I have this one and its very nice...

I've got the same one as Darian and I love it. Extra height makes prep work easier on the back.

Boos manufacturers quality stuff. I don't own one yet. I have a few quality boards. But, most used are my Concave boards because they are solid quality and the fact they save the juice really appeals to me. I've seen a definite difference in proteins moisture. I protect using Boos oil and cream.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Wish i would have been able to pick up in Kyoto. It was a gift from my brother.
I just picked up this custom Tanaka a few weeks ago. Really like it. A little larger and thicker blade.
