Thanks for all the ideas guys.  Now I have a bunch i want to try.  I like the ridgewallet and the recycled firefighter wallet.  I did find a nice golden binder clip in the secretary's desk @EastTNBGE .  That is what I am rocking right now.  RRP style . . .

    This:
I rarely have cash on me (I am married).
    ...made me laugh.

Sorta off-topic, but what we really need is a redesign of pants themselves.  With smartphones becoming more and more ubiquitous, and their capabilities increasing all the time, we soon won't be carrying CC's or cash, it'll all be done by phone.
However, rear wallet, front wallet, phone, doesn't matter, we can't access any of them very easily when we're sitting (in the office, in the car, on a train or plane), which we often have to do.  Why aren't pockets set more to the side of the leg, a bit further down where there's no bending, allowing easy access when you're seated?  I'm thinking some kind of cargo pants that don't look like cargo pants.   =)  This may be my Kickstarter effort when I retire from the guv'mint.

And even more off-topic:  More and more vehicles feature "key-less" start, as long as you have the key fob in your pocket.  Why can't your smart phone provide that same proximity signal, and forego the key fob altogether?  Maybe such an "app" already exists, and I'm just not aware of it; but it seems like a simple-enough thing to do...

I have one of these Flip Side Wallets and love it, been using it for a few years now and still working great, the spring and clip have not broken to my surprise in over 3 years.  Mine does not have the detachable clip on the back as the newer ones do, but It is still awesome.  The only problem for me is that it is made for USA size paper money as Canandian money is a bit larger and will not fit as nicely as in the video, I have to fold it in half and put it sideways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5uSB1hKtGQ

I absolutely love mine.  Great product and great back story.

Carpenter pants.  It's all I buy.  Most will fit the standard somewhat large smartphones in the right leg pocket.  I would like to see them changed to have the leg pocket be more centered on the side of the leg vs. behind the leg seam.  Other than that, they work well.  Started out with the Levi's version a good 10+ years ago, and have moved on to the Duluth trading version about 5 years ago.

I have a large cell phone.  Note Edge.  Even when I had smaller phones, I find the holster is superior to using a pants pocket insofar as comfort, access, protecting the phone, etc.  Pragmatism trumps fashion.

So when confronted with a bad guy you grab for your holster and then your phone has an app that shouts out bang bang bang? =)

Well, for 39 years when I wore suits all the time I always carried the long style for the inside suit coat breast pocket. All of us did for that matter.

I know what you mean.  That ridge wallet appeals to me.  The version of the ridge wallet i like is 100 bucks.  Take 100 out of my gold binder clip, buy ridge wallet . . . have nothing to put in it.

A lot of people have pictures of their kids if they have an old back pocket wallet.  It is kind of a way to show off your kids and explain why you have no money.  We should all have pictures of our eggs in ours.

I can vouch that the Duluth trading brand carpenter pants right side pocket does fit the Iphone 6 with lifeproof case.  I like their flex version for everyday pants.

I've been using a flip side wallet for a few years now.  I keep it in my front pocket.  It has lasted longer than any leather wallet I've had.

[nerd-rant:] The RFID demo in that clip is poorly done.  Naked, the card is swept distinctly from right to left, the full length of the card; once in the case, it's scrubbed right and left, orthogonal to the length of the card (hence orthogonal to the magnetic strip) and then lengthwise, but again only over the central part of the card, I would cry Foul.
Nevertheless, I'm intrigued with the other features of the Flipside (and I'm not saying the RFID doesn't work, just that that test didn't prove to me it does).  Thanks for posting that.

    Brother,

has a Trayvax Element in Mississippi Mud.
A little pricey, but this is the Bad MFer wallet.

The carabiner eyelet option is nice, secure for the pack.

I pulled the trigger on this one.  The RFID shield sold it for me.  I have an enhanced DL for easy passport-free crossing to the GWN that needs RFID shielding.
