Dang you guys are relentless when it comes to bashing big craig lol.   Have to say, as a mini owner, I would go with mm if I could.  Wasn't offered at the time I bought my mini though.

I've cooked on a Mini a couple times. If I had to choose between the Mini and Max, I would pick the Max just due to the extra room. Just my opinion.

Hello Hello Hello, Big Green Craig has an opinion and it is what it is..... He was giving his opinion as requested and some of us did not like it or agree with it. I have never met Big Green Craig and someday I hope I do meet him, because he is a very accomplished BGE Chef and I'm always looking to learn from others. I have been learning from the forum for 9 years tried many recipes that others liked and I thought were not so good and more often than not they are very good. So cut him some slack if you don't agree with his opinion it's OK just let it go. I tell tasters at Eggfest all the time if you like what I have cooked please tell me and if not just move along! It is in jest though, please tell me if you don't like something I have cooked so I can improve. Let's all just share our knowledge of preparing and cooking some awesome food on some kind of a Kamado!

I have a lot of respect for BGC....his work is nothing but top notch. I can't speak for him, but I know I have often posted the first thing that pops into my head. Sometimes it might not be the most appropriate thing to say. I thought his post brought out a lot of great pictures and opinions on the two cookers. At the end of the day, good healthy discussion and respect for others opinions (knowing we all might not be at our best), should be taken for what it is....an opinion. For me, I will for ever more refer to the Mini affectionately as a toy.

A few more whacks on the horse.  Since I already have a Large and Small, It is all good at home.   I want a mini for car camping.  With two adults, two children and a dog, it is hard enough to fit it all in.  I think I might be able to cram a mini in the car....

I know Craig, I have cooked with him, drank with him and been to his house for dinner. He is a typical Yankee just like me, says what he thinks and if you don't like it too bad! He has a wonderful wife beautiful kids and is a great guy! I am proud to call him my friend. I know some of you have thin skin and that is too bad especially guys that show their immaturity on a social forum. All I can say is grow up, HS is over....

Didn't have a choice when I bought my mini a year before the MM came out. Having said that, I paid $300 for the mini in the US with PS, the MM is $600. id take the Mini all day long.
