Frozen brisket leftovers

The first time we had this I thought it was good, but a little dry. This was just the flat and afterwards read other threads where others had problems keeping flats moist, so I didn't feel to bad about it.
Anyways, today the Wife warmed the frozen leftovers up in the crockpot with Bbq sauce and I swear they tasted way better than the first time around, plus not dry at all.
Anyone else ever think the leftovers out shined the original?

Original is always better. I add some apple juice/apple vinegar mix to the brisket before sealing and it is never dry. I usually use the leftovers for tacos, nachos, pizza toppings, quesadillas, etc.

I have had the same thing happen with a flat that didn't turn out so great. Reheated in sauce for sandwiches it was much better.
When I do a whole brisket I try to save some of the point and chop it up with the leftover flat and food save. I use the leftover chop for sandwiches, tscod, chili. The added fat from the point makes it even better.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
I don't know if better, but about the same when I vacuum seal it in bags with my Food Saver and heat it up in the microwave for about a minute.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.
